Please do have a look at these, as it could well affect you:
- Acts keep 80% of net ticket sales (after VAT), but can keep 100% of donations if you choose to take them at the end. Note: using our PDQ machines will incur VAT and the 80% share, even for donations – if you use your own iZettle or SumUp machines then you can keep all of these donations.
- You are welcome to sell your own tickets. In this case we would get 20% of your tickets sold + VAT.
- The charge for hiring the room is either a non-refundable £35 upfront, or you can pay £50 after the show (this is the only flat fee, and helps cover some (obviously, not all) of our costs)
- Shows must finish 15 minutes before the next show. Feel free to confirm this with us if you are not sure.
- It is your responsibility to promote your own show – Angel Comedy will help where we can – however we have over 40 shows per week on at our venue so there is a limited amount we can do for individual shows.
- If you can’t make your slot – then let us know, but you cannot swap or exchange or get a replacement for it – it is your booking. (If this is being booked by an agency or promoter, this booking is for the specific act that is booked)
- Once your show is confirmed, if you then need to cancel within two weeks of the start of the show, there’ll be a £75 cancellation fee (+ VAT). In the rare cases where we’ve offered you our precious, precious 8 o’clock slots, that’ll be £100 (+ VAT)
(We won’t charge you this if you turn up on the day and cancel because of no audience… we just need you to turn up! But… y’know… bring audience as many people are wanting these slots!) - If you cancel after tickets have been sold, then you will need to refund us £1 for every ticket that we have to refund.
- Any live music must go through our amplifiers – acts cannot bring their own amplification. Drums are not allowed, and all other musical instruments are at our discretion.
Feel free to email info@angelcomedy.co.uk if you have any questions about these terms or if you think they cause you problems. We’re just a small team trying to give comedians a fair deal whilst surviving so all feedback is appreciated.
