Vinny Shiu: British. Broken. Chinese. (WIP)

What happens when you're Asian, British, and still desperately trying to figure out who you are?

Vinny Shiu is caught between two worlds: the culture he comes from and the country he grew up in, all while trying to make sense of his complicated relationship with his family, survive the chaos of dating, and work out what the hell he's doing with his life.

Through sharp stand-up and immersive storytelling, Vinny turns the deeply personal into the hilariously relatable. From navigating the expectations of his Asian roots to dealing with family drama, identity, trauma and the universal struggle of wanting your parents to be proud of you (without letting them know they've won), this is comedy about finding your place in the world when you're not entirely sure where you belong.

Featured on the BBC, Vinny is the winner of Southampton Comedian of the Year 2023 and a finalist in British Comedian of the Year 2024.

Come for the laughs, stay for the identity crisis.
