Tatty Macleod: Things My Mother Did (WIP)

In August 2025 Tatty posted a video of her 73 year old mum digging a trench on social media. 25 million views later and DIY Liz is a viral sensation. This year Tatty turns 37, the same age “Trench Lady” was when she had her. In this brand new work in progress Tatty reviews her mum’s life choices (including moving to France despite not speaking a word of French, digging a Trench, repairing her own sceptic tank) and contrasts it against her own (childfree, unmarried, doesn’t own a sceptic tank) to try and answer the age old question: am I becoming my mother?
