Joz Norris Solo Comedy Workshops: Meaning What? at The Bill Murray - Angel Comedy Club

Joz Norris Solo Comedy Workshops: Meaning What?

Thursday 29th June 2023, 10:00am to 5:00pm - The Bill Murray

One of the central dilemmas in making a show is confronting the difference between what YOU think your show is about, and what the AUDIENCE perceives in it. If you're a comedian working on a solo show for comedy and arts festivals, this day-long workshop of creative exercises, prompts and discussions will help you to drill down into how to make a show that finds the connections between meaning and intention, and results in a piece of work the audience will treasure.

Joz Norris has made several acclaimed comedy/theatre shows for the Edinburgh Fringe, won the Comedians' Choice Award for Best Show in 2019, and his most recent show was one of the Evening Standard's top comedy shows of 2022. He is the creator and star of the BBC Radio 4 sitcom The Dream Factory and also wrote and starred in the BBC Radio 4 programmes A Small Talk On Small Talk and Useless Millennials. His work has been supported by Soho Theatre, Pleasance Theatre Trust, Arts Council England and Battersea Arts Centre.
