Components
Comic devices
Comic angles.
Making the most out of set ups, developments and punchlines
Look at your existing writing habits and determine what neglected joke types you can add to your existing material.
Jimmy Carr and I are nearing completion of a stand-up comedy book in four parts covering:
Top 50 joke types and their components
Timing
Routine structure
Live Stand-up performance.
We’ll be holding beta courses on joke-writing in the next few months. They will be ‘under the radar’ and here (and Insta) will be the only places I’ll be promoting them as Jimmy and I prepare for the international launch. I’m only planning on giving four sets of beta courses after which they’ll only be available on-line. From then on I’ll be concentrating on performance and routine workshops.
