Comedy at The Bill Murray

The Bill Murray is Angel Comedy HQ. A club, pub and hub, open 7 days a week, hosting an eclectic range of the finest comedy around.

WHAT’S ON

The Bill Murray is more than a wonderfully intimate, well proportioned comedy club. It’s also a creative space where comedians can meet, write, rehearse and perform, and where we run comedy courses and comedy projects for our local community. And it’s a lovely pub, serving drinks and snacks every day from 5pm. And of course, there’s comedy…

Having moved 5,437 miles for love, award-winning Egyptian-American comedian Maria Shehata presents her debut hour of playfully sardonic stand-up. Charmingly conversational and brutally honest, Maria divulges the realities of giving up a glamourous LA lifestyle to discover that saying “I moved here for you” does not win every argument. Winner: Best Comedian at Hollywood Festival of New Cinema and Best Comedy at the Miami Web Fest. “Maria Shehata has a Janeane Garofalo-type swagger to her, both funny and entertaining.” – LA Times

Join us for a special night of improv comedy that WILL NEVER BE SEEN AGAIN! Because, that’s right, it’s all made up on the spot! Some of the best improvisers in London join forces to celebrate this year’s London Pride in an uninhibited, uncensored evening of improv comedy from LGBT+ players and those who support the community – all put together by Monkey Toast’s Paul Foxcroft with his “vibrant and articulate sense of mischief” (according to The Times). You’ve been warned…

Don’t miss out on this one-off event, as part of Zeal: The Pride Improv Festival, which runs from 1-7 July.
