Comedy at The Bill Murray

The Bill Murray is Angel Comedy HQ. A club, pub and hub, open 7 days a week, hosting an eclectic range of the finest comedy around.

The Bill Murray is more than a wonderfully intimate, well proportioned comedy club. It’s also a creative space where comedians can meet, write, rehearse and perform, and where we run comedy courses and comedy projects for our local community. And it’s a lovely pub, serving drinks and snacks every day from 5pm. And of course, there’s comedy…

Everyone has a story to tell and the best stories are often the ones that are told from personal experience. This is an early Sunday evening show where people from all walks of life come together to share true stories – the type of yarn that you would tell a group of friends and one that you just couldn’t make up. Truth is sometimes stranger, sadder and funnier than fiction. And this is the first of what we hope will be many true storytelling events at the Bill Murray. The theme for the night is, “The first time.”

Mark Bittlestone’s parents are both dead. As if that wasn’t funny enough, he’s also gay. It seems natural, therefore, for Mark to do some stand-up comedy based on his life. Will Dalrymple is just gay, which in his mind really isn’t funny enough. It seems natural, therefore, for Will to write and read some explicit parody gay literotica not based at all on his life.

Join gays Mark and Will for half an hour of fact, half an hour of fiction and an hour of laughs.

Very well written…horrifyingly funny”
