Taking a show to the Edinburgh Fringe?
Not sure where to start?
Feeling overwhelmed by everything you need to do?
I’m not surprised. It’s a lot of work. But boy do I have the live Q&A for you.
Hi. I’m Simon Caine. I host and founded the Ask The Industry podcast where I ask questions I want to know the answers to from the most influential people from the worlds of stand up, comedy, radio, tv and (most importantly for this event) the Edinburgh Fringe.
There’s going to be three panels:
1) Edinburgh Fringe venues (12pm-1:30pm)
On this panel we have –
Ben Verth and John Millar – Co founders of Monkey Barrel Comedy
Ryan Taylor – head of comedy at the Pleasance Edinburgh London
Darrell Martin – founder of Just the Tonic Edinburgh
JD Henshaw – founder and programmer at Sweet Venues
2) PR’s (2pm-3pm)
Helen O’Brien – Head of Regional Media at Impressive PR and is part of
their Edinburgh Fringe PR team.
Stefania Bochicchio – Director of Infallible Productions.
+ 2 TBC
3) Experts in show production (3.30pm – 4.30pm)
Jessica Fostekew – Director of the 2017 shows for Sara Pascoe and Lauren
Pattison (Newcomer Nominated show).
John Gordillo – script editor/director Eddie Izzard, Seann Walsh, Josh
Widdicombe, Shappi Khorsandi, Dara Ó Briain, Paul Chowdhry, Michael
Mcintyre, Mark Steel and Reginald D Hunter etc
Tamara Cowan – co-director of Strip Light Productions, who have produced
Desiree Burch, Ed Aczel and Marny Godden and the Musical Comedy Awards.
Co-produced with Avalon for Adam Hess, Glenn Moore, Steve Bugeja, Bilal
Please RSVP and tell friends. I’ll put up more details as and when I have them.
Venue – the Bill Murray
Date 17th Feb 2018
Cost – £20
Not only is this a great chance to have your questions answered rather than assuming things or asking other comedians it’s also a great chance for you to chat, mingle, get to know and network with people you’ll be working with every day for a month to see how you get along before committing.
