True storytelling – hosted by Martha McBrier and Matt Price
Theme : The first time
Everyone has a story to tell and the best stories are often the ones that are told from personal experience. This is an early Sunday evening show where people from all walks of life come together to share true stories – the type of yarn that you would tell a group of friends and one that you just couldn’t make up. Truth is sometimes stranger, sadder and funnier than fiction. And this is the first of what we hope will be many true storytelling events at the Bill Murray. The theme for the night is, “The first time.” The idea is that the storyteller tells a true story that fits with the theme. There is a different theme every month.
The first time will mean something different to everyone. It might be the first time you realised that you needed to make a change in your life. It could be first time you experienced fear or anger. It could be a story about the first time you ate a particular meal. Either way, our storytellers will be telling stories about their first time. Stories are up to ten minutes long and have to be true.
£5 to reserve a seat or Pay What You Want at the venue.
