Comedy at The Bill Murray

The Bill Murray is Angel Comedy HQ. A club, pub and hub, open 7 days a week, hosting an eclectic range of the finest comedy around.

WHAT’S ON

The Bill Murray is more than a wonderfully intimate, well proportioned comedy club. It’s also a creative space where comedians can meet, write, rehearse and perform, and where we run comedy courses and comedy projects for our local community. And it’s a lovely pub, serving drinks and snacks every day from 5pm. And of course, there’s comedy…

Queer as Jokes is a comedy night where everyone performing has some connection with the kink and/or LGBT+ community.

There’ll be around 6 acts who might not tell jokes about their sex, sexuality, gender, kinks etc, but they might….you’ll just have to come and find out.

Struan spent 18 months living out of a backpack through Australia, New Zealand and seven Southeast Asian countries, including headlining comedy clubs in Singapore and Malaysia. The Scottish comic regales tales of the
moment North Korea inspired him to travel, how he understood religion by visiting Buddhist Hell and about doing jokes about Islam in a Muslim majority country.

In 2014 Laura Lexx’s show “Lovely” was all about her life being relatively lovely thank goodness. One reviewer said “one can only hope that that there’s some life-altering catastrophe waiting just around the corner for Lexx”… well congratulations Ryan O’Connor – come and see this show because 2017 has been pretty awful.

Who better than “the most delightful performer you’re ever likely to see” (GQ) to talk you through what happens when you take a year off to have a baby and find yourself medicated after a nervous breakdown.

A show which turns smack talk into an art form. Roast Battle London puts two comedians head-to-head in a battle of wit and put-downs. One from each bout will be decided the victor by an audacious panel of guest judges.
